“About Us”

Steve Anderson, President of Vision Exploration Ltd., has over four decades of experience in the mining exploration industry. He graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College with diplomas in Geological Technician (1981) and Geotechnical Technologist (1982).

From 1982 to 1997, Steve worked with companies such as Urangesellschaft, Asamera Oil, Rayan Exploration, Middleton Exploration, Crone Geophysics, and Quantec Geophysics. In roles ranging from operator to crew chief, he gained expertise in geophysical methods including magnetometer surveys, Horizontal Loop Electromagnetics (HLEM) Max-Min, Large Loop Electromagnetics, Induced Polarization (IP), and Very Low Frequency Electromagnetics (VLF-EM). His experience also includes soil, water, and sediment sampling; line cutting; trenching and blasting; staking; channel sampling; prospecting; field camp setup and management; and assisting in diamond drilling operations.

In 1997, Steve founded Vision Exploration Ltd., offering a comprehensive range of mining exploration services and project management. Notably, he assembled a land package in the Timmins Camp (Shaw Dome) that included the McWatters nickel showing. This property was optioned to Liberty Mines, where Steve served on the board and contributed to bringing the McWatters nickel deposit into production. Additionally, Liberty Mines constructed the Redstone Mill to process ore from the McWatters Mine.

Steve also conducted the initial Induced Polarization (IP) survey on the Borden Project for Probe Mines. The data from this survey led to the discovery of the Borden Lake Mine, which was acquired by Goldcorp and is currently in production.
